 Pursuing a Satisfying Life Discussed at Lifetree Café:  How to experience a full and satisfying life, even in the midst of sickness, will be explored at Lifetree Café at the Mandarin Senior Center this Tuesday, the 17th at 3:30 pm, at the Mary L. Singleton Senior Center, on Thursday, the 19th at 12:45 pm and at the Southeast Regional Library Branch at 7:00 pm.  The program, titled  “How to Live Before You Die:  Embracing Life to the Fullest,” features a filmed interview with Sasha Vukelja, who as a young girl escaped from communist Yugoslavia and emigrated to the United States.

Garden of Hope Tutorial Ministry Program at Thomas Chase Apartments will meet this  Tuesday, the 17th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.

 Celebrate Recovery:   Saturdays  from 9 am to 11 am here at Hope.

 Hope LWML will receive our Charter at the LWML Seaside Escape Rally next  Saturday, April 21st from 8:15 to 3:30 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5401 Dunn Avenue.

Family  Promise beginning next Sunday April 22nd    Please see the sign up sheets in the nursery to volunteer for overnights and/or to bring nonperishable food items. See John or Coralee if you have questions.    Second Family Promise week is November 22nd to 29th (week after Thanksgiving).

The Lutheran Witness:  It is once again time to subscribe to or renew the magazine The Lutheran Witness.   Cost is $12.00 for 11 issues.  There is a sign up sheet in the narthex. If paying with check, please make payable to Hope.  If with cash, please mark envelope for The Lutheran Witness.  Deadline  to sign up is next Sunday, April 22nd

Dear Friends,  Pastor Pat is respectfully requesting that each member of Hope view Module 3 from the 24 to Double Website by next Sunday, April 22nd.  For those of you who are unable to view Module 3, there will be a power point on it during the Adult Bible Class period on Sunday, April 29th.  To view Module 3 on the website, please implement the following steps: use the following instructions when you log into the 24 to Double website:

  1.    Please type
  2.    Please do not type “www.” before “”
  3.    Please type in the following email address:
  4.    Please type in the following password: 4e9d2b30
  5.    Then click the “Module” Tab
  6.    Then select Module 3
  7.    Then double click the 24toDouble screen

Anyone wishing to help out with donations to defer the 24 to Double module cost of $99.00 per month, please see Pastor Pat.

VBS the week of June 11th at Hope.   Watch for more information.

Council has proposed the idea of a Garage/Yard Sale in the Spring with proceeds being used to purchase new computers for Hope.   Anyone interested in heading up the yard sale, please contact John or Coralee

 LWML Mites:   Remember to bring in your Mites.

An estimate has been received for the emergency exit door for approximately $2,700.00.  Anyone wishing to help defer the costs, please indicate “for church door’ on your donation.  Watch for Love Offerings to help with the cost, also.

 “Two for One” at Hope:   Please remove the tabs from any aluminum cans donated and put tabs in the container for Ronald McDonald House.   Please only bring aluminum cans (no foil or other aluminum) and the pop tabs from the cans.


 Guest Information:  If you do not have a church home….Please consider joining us at Hope.  We would be glad to have you as a part of God’s family.  Introduce yourself to Pastor Pat or one of the elders. You can become a member of Hope by:  *Baptism (for infants and children who have never been baptized); *Attending a new member class (this is an adult class for those who want to learn about the Lutheran Church.)
